INTERACTION, SMART TECHNOLOGY AND CREATIVITY OF THE FUTURE

Dear Friends,
We’re very proud to be able to announce that THE ARTS+ Salon will be hosting a truly special event on 13 October: With “Sonophilia Spark”, world-renowned pianist Seda Röder has created a unique programme for the THE ARTS+ that combines music, creativity and artificial intelligence with discussions and fascinating experts. In our interview, she reveals the idea behind it and what viewers can expect. And, of course, how you can get a hold of one of the 40 highly coveted tickets. By the way, Spark aside, admission to the fair includes the complete five-day programme of THE ARTS+ on two stages.

We also hope to spark your curiosity about “manifest”, a robot project at THE ARTS+ that we’re particularly excited about. Plus, we’ll reveal who our guests will be at the opening panel on 11 October and why creativity is especially important in the digital age.
Enjoy reading and discovering!
Holger Volland

THE ARTS+ PRESENTS “MANIFEST”

It is an author, politician, philosopher and artist. And, as it happens, a robot. A machine that writes manifestos on its own – up to 80 a day, which our visitors can take home with them. “manifest” is a fascinating project by the artist group robotlab and the Centre for Art and Media, ZKM. They have transformed an original industrial robot into a creative artificial intelligence. But how does it work? What’s the idea behind it? And what could it mean for the future of the entire art world?

Find out in THE ARTS+ area and in a session with Jan Zappe and Matthias Gommel on Friday, 13 October, where you will be introduced personally to robotlab, the creative minds behind the “manifesto” robot – among other projects. »

LET’S TALK CREATIVITY – THE OPENING PANEL

Creativity has never known boundaries. Today, thanks to digitalisation and new technologies, crossing the line seems to be easier than ever: The creative sectors are moving closer together and new opportunities are arising at the intersection of creativity, technology and business. At the opening panel, Holger Volland, Founder of THE ARTS+, will welcome Chris Dercon, Artistic Director of the Volksbühne Berlin, and Prof Peter Weibel, artist, curator, arts and media theorist at the Centre for Art & Media (ZKM), bringing together the world of creativity to unleash its full potential and to answer pressing questions concerning the creative industries and beyond. »
